Science Explorers Club

The Grade School Science Explorer’s Club held an experiment in the field as they learned about Aerospace Science. They assembled a simple rocket and successfully launched it using vinegar and baking soda.

Grade 3 students shared their thoughts about the experiment:

“The rocket ship activity inspired me to make and observe it again. It showed me how creative some people can be. It also showed me that there are different parts of a rocket. It showed me that rockets are made to go to space. It told me that when vinegar and baking soda make contact, it makes a chemical reaction causing it to shoot into the air. This is what I learned in the rocket ship activity.” – Bernice Tinio

“When the rocket ship launched I felt like I was in the rocket. I also felt like I was the one who built the rocket and all its parts. It was so fun. It was also so inspirable (sic). That’s why I like the rocket activity.” – Gabrielle P. Hermosilla

Good job, young explorers!
