PAREF Woodrose School welcomes 2018 with celebration of talents and awards!

During the Model United Nations Conference held at the Philippine Science High School Main Campus on January 13, 2018, Woodrose Delegates received the following awards:

Bianca de la Cruz won BEST POSITION PAPER on Genetically Modified Crops for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

Chelsea Britanico won BEST POSITION PAPER on Preserving Culture Heritages in Conflict Zones for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and recognized as one of the NOTABLE DELEGATES.

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational activity/conference where students role play as foreign diplomats and participate in simulated sessions of the United Nations General Assembly. MUN participants engaged in research, public speaking, debate, and writing. They also exhibited their knowledge in international relations and the United Nations as well as their skills in diplomacy, critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership during the 2-day workshop.

Gia Sansaet received SECOND HONORS in the 2018 MMC Elementary Merit Awards under the MTAP (Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines) Private Sectoral Division. 

Grade School swimmers, Anya Austriaco, Tabitha Catalan, Katrina Gonzales, Angela Gutierrez, and Samantha Salazar, competed at the PRISAA swim meet on December 8, 2017 at De La Salle Zobel and qualified to represent Muntinlupa in the NCR Palaro.

Grade School and High School Softball Teams, as well as the Grade School Tennis Team also qualified to represent Muntinlupa in the NCR Palaro.

The WOODROSE DANCE CREW emerged as one of the finalists in their first national competition, the CRISAA Synergy Street Dance Competition, held on December 16, 2017 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Auxiliary Staff, Ms. Gina Antonio, won 2ND PLACE in the Fiction Writing Category of the 11th Cesar S. Tiangco Memorial Literary Awards for her short essay entitled “The Farmer of Apayao.” The annual literary competition, which was participated by 7 schools in Muntinlupa, is held to honor the memory of writer and novelist Cesar Sioson Tiongson, the pioneer principal of the Munitnlupa National High School.

Ms. Antonio maintains our school chapel, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rose, while studying part-time at St. Bernadette College, taking up Masters in Education.
