Taiwanese Students Visit Woodrose

On July 14, 2017, students from Our Lady of Providence Girls’ High School in Taipei, Taiwan visited Woodrose. The students were in the Philippines for Youthcom 2017, a volunteer service project that was organized by the Wen Shan Residence. After completing their volunteer work in Pantalan Elementary School in Nasugbu, Batangas, the students and their chaperones Tsai Rong (a teacher from their school) and Yoyette Sabarre from Wen Shan Residence paid a quick visit to Woodrose.

The visitors were toured around the school grounds and welcomed by the Woodrose Student Council and the Woodrose Ambassadors. They were also given a special orientation about the school by our own Taiwanese students, Michi Huang (Gr. 10), Lea Huang (Gr. 7), and Grazielle Lin (Gr. 11). After having lunch together, the students from Taiwan presented their hosts with gifts and pastries, including the famous Taiwanese pineapple tarts!

Although it was a brief visit, both groups were happy to have made new friendships and expressed their hopes to see each other again.
